Relationship to Others:

  • Works under the direct supervision of Managers and Partners
  • Supervision of Bookkeepers, Semi-Senior, and Staff accountants
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Outside Professionals (i.e. Attorneys, Bankers, Certified Financial Planners, Financial and Wealth Advisors, Insurance, Pension Consultants, etc.)
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients

Role as a Senior Accountant:

  • Review of client’s books and records
  • Perform year-end and interim accounting
  • Year-end tax planning for business entities and individuals
  • Supervise and perform financial statement audits, reviews and compilations and/or
  • Supervise and prepare business and personal income tax returns
  • Assist Partners with consulting projects

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Performing a detailed general ledger review of clients’ accounting records
  • Preparation of interim and year-end compiled financial statements
  • Preparation of reviewed financial statements
  • Supervision of Bookkeeper and staff accountants on their day to day responsibilities
  • Performing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations
  • Supervision of staff accountants on financial statement audits, reviews and compilations
  • Perform tax planning for business and individual clients
  • Preparation of business and individual tax returns
  • Preparation of basic estate tax returns
  • Preparation of gift tax returns
  • Supervision of staff accountants on assigned tax return engagements
  • Correspondence with government agencies and clients
  • QuickBooks training for clients
  • Responsible for supporting the Firm’s learning plan
  • Responsible for assisting staff accountants with their professional training and development

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in performance reviews of certain accounting and bookkeeping staff
  • Participate in Firm committees and/or service areas
  • Participate in the Firm’s coaching and mentoring programs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or other related area
  • CPA license preferred. Working toward obtaining a CPA license, if not already attained
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

2025 Busy Season Internship

We are currently accepting applications for students to work part-time with us during our busy season from February – April 2025. We allow remote workers. Our team is looking for hard-working, detail-oriented accounting interns that possesses a solid understanding of accounting and tax principles. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn. Interns will gain valuable experience working on real clients and preparing real income tax returns. Interns will also get a chance to work directly with partners, managers and staff while getting immense exposure to CPA firm life during our busiest time of the year.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Sophomore standing or above by start of internship
  • Working towards B.S. degree in Accounting or Economics with emphasis in Accounting
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
